Gibbs Farm is a private property and open by appointment only on our monthly scheduled visitor days as posted on our website.
Gibbs Farm is not open for visits during the wet, winter months.
Visiting hours are from 10.00am to 2.00pm on our scheduled visitor days as posted on our website.
Gibbs Farm is located at 2421 Kaipara Coast Highway approximately an hour north of Auckland CBD.
Access to all artwork is by foot unless prior arrangements have been made with the Farm Manager.
Good walking shoes are necessary as the Farm is a 3-4 hour walking experience.
No on-site transport facilities such as golf carts are provided.
Allow 3-4 hours to comfortably view all artwork.
Restricted areas are marked on the visitor guide including all buildings and residences.
Toilets are provided and clearly marked on the visitor guide/brochure you will receive on the day.
There are no on-site refreshment facilities - we recommend you bring a picnic, water and sunscreen.
Local cafes are located at Waitoki and Helensville (south of Gibbs Farm) and in Wellsford and Warkworth (north/northeast of Gibbs Farm).
Alcohol is not permitted.
Yes, photography is permitted. However drone use is strictly prohibited.
No, Gibbs Farm animals roam freely and we request you please not to approach or feed them.
Our visitor days will still be operating regardless of weather conditions - bring wet weather gear, gumboots and enjoy!
There is no guided tour, you walk at your own pace to artworks of your interest - directions and information are provided in the visitor guide.
You are most welcome to bring young children although the area of Gibbs Farm is approximately 1000 acres and the undulating terrain is such that it restricts stroller access to our sealed ring road. Most sculptures are within 100 metres of this road.
Gibbs Farm staff are posted at both entry/exit points between 10.00am and 2.00pm.
